Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Australia

We invite you to the much-anticipated launch of the Health Law Network!
(Doors open 4.00pm for 4:30pm start, networking drinks from 6.00pm)

The Health Law Network (HLN) is a subset of ACC members who are in-house legal counsel supporting the healthcare industry: public, private, pharma, devices, doctors, and patients.

This event is crafted for in-house counsel navigating the dynamic healthcare sector, and will feature Q&A discussion on a range of topics, with distinguished experts in the field. The session will provide you with the opportunity to become better informed, explore pressing issues and future directions for Australian healthcare.

Key Topics for Discussion

+  Key Issues: What are the most pressing challenges facing the healthcare system in Australia today?
+  Advancements: Is the system keeping pace with developments in medicines and medical technology?
+  Patient Interests: Are Australian patients' needs being prioritised amidst these changes?
+  Technology Impact: What are the implications of new technologies for the healthcare system and patients?
+  Health Data: Is transparency in health data a benefit or a burden?

As legal professionals, your role in advocating for change, supporting new initiatives and emerging technologies is vital. This forum, sponsored by Baker McKenzie, will foster a broader discussion beyond legal risks, enabling in-house lawyers to contribute value and take a leadership role in the ongoing transformation of healthcare delivery in Australia.
