Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Research Triangle Area

Presentation will discuss the role of data minimization in data security and privacy as it has evolved from a core privacy principle “best practice” to increasingly a component of many data privacy requirements contained in laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, and the newest laws in other states like VT /MD). We will cover different methods of data minimization that can be used either for compliance, or to reduce the threat surface of an organization’s data inventory. The presentation will provide an understanding of data minimizations to better assist you in advising your clients/colleagues within your respective organizations on what data minimization is, and best practices for use.
