Washington: The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), the premier global legal association that promotes the common professional and business interests of in-house counsel, has named Javier Ramirez Iglesias this year's recipient of the Robert I. Townsend, Jr. Member of the Year Award. The award was presented at the 2023 ACC Annual Meeting, held this year in San Antonio Texas.
This award is ACC’s most prestigious individual honour and is awarded in acknowledgement of outstanding contributions, commitment, and dedication of a single member to the association. This year's recipient is no exception.
An ACC member since 2007, Javier has served as a European country representative and member of the ACC Europe Board of Directors, including as Chair of the Advocacy Committee, and currently serves as an Advocacy Liaison for the chapter. “I am honoured to be named the Association of Corporate Counsel’s member of the year for 2023” stated Javier Ramirez Iglesias, Head of Advocacy, ACC Europe, and VP Legal & Associate General Counsel, Regions Litigation at HP Inc. “As a longtime member, I am grateful for the recognition of all the hours of hard work and dedication to promote the interests of the in-house legal profession. From helping advocate for legal professional privilege across Europe, to participating on numerous webinars and meetings, I have always strived to do and be available for whatever was needed. Being a part of the global in-house community is rewarding both professionally and personally, and I am very appreciative for receiving such a distinguished award from my peers.”
Speaking in praise of this year's winner, Veta T. Richardson, president and CEO of ACC, stated, “Javier is an incredibly deserving recipient of ACC’s Member of the Year Award.
