Los Angeles – The Association of Corporate Counsel Foundation (ACC Foundation) hosted the inaugural Vanguard Awards, celebrating organizations who are using technology and innovation to advance DEI. This year’s winners, Intel, FedEx, and Trusaic, were honored during an immersive awards celebration at the UCLA Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center.
In 2022, the ACC Foundation launched the DEI Maturity Assessment (powered by Ethisphere). This resource easily allows organizations to pinpoint where they are in their DEI journey, benchmark them against their corporate peers, and chart paths to increased DEI success with the ultimate goal of increasing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across the legal profession. The ACC Foundation Vanguard Award was created to honor organizations that have demonstrated their commitment to and impact on legal diversity by completing the assessment and scoring within the top 15% of respondents.
“The ACC Foundation’s first-ever Vanguard Awards celebration was a wonderful opportunity to honor and highlight Intel, Fedex, and Trusaic for their commitment and innovation to advancing DEI,” said Jennifer Chen, ACC Foundation executive director. "I am proud of the uniqueness of this event incorporating virtual reality presentations to highlight these incredible award winners for their DEI leadership and inclusionary efforts. These organizations, and everyone who completed the DEI Maturity Assessment to efficiently benchmark their current maturity and map a path forward, are to be commended for their efforts, particularly in a time when we see challenges arising from the SCOTUS ruling. I want to thank everyone who made this awards celebration possible, including Grammy-award winning artist Ben Williams for the amazing performance. The ACC Foundation is excited to expand this event further next year.”
