Combination of flexibility, work/life balance, and positive work environment led to 84 percent of employees saying ACC is a great place to work.

Washington – The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), a global organization with over 45,000 members in 100+ countries dedicated to serving and representing the entire in-house community, today announced it is now certified as a Great Place To Work®. ACC’s employees appreciated policies put into place to promote flexible work schedules (including the option to work a compressed workweek and work a 4-day work week), work/life balance, and to develop a company culture that is welcoming and diverse.  This year, 84 percent of ACC employees said it is a great place to work, far outpacing those at a typical U.S.-based company at only 57 percent.

“ACC’s certification as a Great Place To Work is hard-earned recognition of this organization’s efforts to ensure ACC’s employees feel heard, appreciated, and valued,” said Veta T. Richardson, ACC president & CEO. “Our inclusive company culture creates a workplace where individuals feel comfortable to be themselves, and that empowers all of us to effectively serve the needs of a diverse, global membership. It is encouraging to hear that our employees feel we are headed in the right direction.  Our HR Team has done an especially great job and we thank them and everyone on the ACC staff for their hard work and continued dedication to our members and to one another.”

"Great Place To Work Certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, the Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasizes that Certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that the Association of Corporate Counsel stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."

ACC's numbers speak for themselves:

  • 92 percent: People here are treated fairly regardless of their age.
  • 98 percent: People here are treated fairly regardless of their race.
  • 94 percent: People here are treated fairly regardless of their gender.
  • 100 percent: People here are treated fairly regardless of their sexual orientation.
