Bock, senior advisor at Google and author of Work Rules!: Insights from Inside Google to Transform How You Live and Lead, will present the keynote speech over lunch, followed by a book signing. He will address how freedom and hard science leads to meaningful work and personal happiness, drawing upon behavioral economics, human psychology, and practical examples across different industries. Bock will also discuss Google's workplace accomplishments and how other companies can similarly make their own work environments "best places to work."
"ACC members have an increased role in the business operations of their employers, and we support that role with educational sessions that address the legal hot topics their companies find most challenging," said Veta T. Richardson, president and CEO of ACC. "The 2016 ACC Annual Meeting will feature a special technology law focus, including spotlights on privacy and information governance – two of the fastest growing concerns among chief legal officers this year."
At the meeting, ACC will honor outstanding members, chapters, and committees, present the "Robert I. Townsend, Jr. Member of the Year Award," and recognize exemplary efforts to promote pro bono services and advance diversity within the legal profession. ACC will also elect directors and officers for the 2016-2017 global board of directors.
