Your health and safety are our top priorities, and ACC is proud that the key decisions made in 2022 led to successful events. ACC will continue to monitor COVID and other health developments across the globe and follow health safety guidelines from the WHO and the Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH).

Following are the health and safety guidelines ACC will implement at the 2023 ACC Asia-Pacific Annual Meeting. ACC's Duty of Care is a living document. We recommend you check this webpage regularly as we will update it as the WHO, MOH, and/or state or local public health authorities’ guidance is updated or changed.

Effective December 1, 2022.

Before You Leave Home

We encourage everyone attending an ACC event to:

  • Get your flu shot.
  • Get up to date with your COVID vaccines and booster shots.
  • Test regularly as the most effective way to detect COVID and isolate if you are infected.
  • In accordance with current MOH and Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA) guidelines, international travelers to Singapore must show proof of vaccination against COVID before boarding a flight to Singapore OR provide a negative PCR test 48 hours prior to departure. Please visit the ICA website for more information.

What to expect at the ACC Asia Pacific Annual Meeting

Vaccines

  • ACC will not require proof of vaccination status to attend the Annual Meeting. Instead, ACC expects attendees to take responsibility themselves by following guidance from the WHO and/or MOH on measures to reduce infection from COVID-19 and to protect against severe complications.
  • ACC strongly encourages COVID vaccination and boosters as vaccines are proven to prevent the threat of critical illness.
  • ACC strongly encourages you to get your annual flu shot as well to further reduce the threat of illness.

COVID Testing

  • We strongly recommend you self-test before leaving for and upon arriving to an ACC event.
  • Attendees who are not up-to-date on vaccinations are asked to take an at-home COVID-19 rapid antigen test before traveling to any ACC event and should not attend if they test positive or have symptoms of COVID-19.
    • While ACC does not require proof of these measures, we call on the ACC community to act responsibly and with consideration for the health and safety of others.
  • ACC will provide access to rapid antigen tests. If you feel ill onsite at an ACC event, we will offer free self-tests. We also will provide isolation recommendations (at the individual's expense) from the MOH if you test positive.
  • Upon request, ACC will provide guidance for international attendees that may require a test to return to their home country.

Masks

  • High-quality masks will be available upon request.
  • Wear a high-quality mask indoors if you are more comfortable, and we ask that you respect those around you that choose to do so.
  • We advise high-risk individuals, and those with family or colleagues who are at a higher risk of getting COVID, to wear a MOH recommended mask, such as the N95 type.

Recommendations for Sponsors

Below are some additional recommendations for sponsors as you plan your ACC experience.

  • Ensure your booth design can accommodate proper social distancing. This includes designated entrances and exits, single-direction traffic flow within your booth, and socially distanced seating in demo/presentation areas with an access-control monitor.
  • Ensure your booth has plenty of hand sanitizer that is easily accessible.
  • Provide frequent booth/product cleaning that includes regularly disinfecting surfaces and wiping down high-touch items.
  • Have a plan in the event of illness among your team members while at the event.

What ACC expects from you

The responsibility for a safe and healthy event environment is shared among the event organizers, event venues, and event attendees. To this end, all event attendees are expected to adhere to the following:

  • Wear a high-quality mask indoors if you are more comfortable, and we ask that you respect those around you that choose to do so.
  • Adhere to spacing recommendations where applicable.
  • Complete regular hand sanitation.
  • Regularly self-monitor for cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms while at the event. Please ensure you do not enter the meeting space if you begin experiencing any symptoms or leave the meeting space if you do.
  • Do not attend an ACC event if you are experiencing, or within the 10 days prior to the program have experienced, symptoms associated with the flu or COVID-19 unless medically cleared by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for your treatment.
    • You also should not attend if you believe that you may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for your treatment.
    • In addition, attendees should self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and are asked to contact ACC at i.robertson@acc.com if they experience symptoms of COVID-19 within 10 days after participating in an in-person program. Any private health or personal data that may be received by ACC in connection with such measures and precautions will be treated as confidentially as possible.
  • ACC cannot be held liable for COVID-19 cases arising because of event attendance and will continue to require all attendees to sign the Event Attendee Waiver and Release of Liability upon registering for any ACC event. ACC’s Duty of Care is subject to change based on COVID-19 community levels and any updated guidance from the WHO, MOH, and/or federal or state officials in localities hosting an ACC event. Guidance on COVID-19 is continually updated, and ACC appreciates the understanding of its stakeholders as we seek to provide valuable, timely face-to-face programming while prioritizing the health and safety of attendees.

You may be required to leave the Event (and forfeit registration fee) for not complying with event protocols.
