How do I become a Mentor?

Can I mentor more than one person?
Yes, you can mentor up to two mentees. Please set a limit based on your availability in your Mentor Profile.
How do I find Mentees?
Use the Find a Mentee feature to search profiles and send connection requests.
How will I know if a Mentee selects me?
You’ll receive an email notification with the request and can review the Mentee’s profile before accepting or declining.
Can I decline a request?
Yes. If the match isn’t the right fit, you can politely decline. A brief conversation before declining can be helpful.
What if I need to take a break?
To pause participation, update your status under Enroll as Mentor in the “Stop accepting new Mentees” section of your profile. Please select from the following options:
- Temporarily stop accepting mentees
- Schedule when to stop accepting mentees
How do I end a mentoring relationship?
If the relationship has naturally concluded or isn’t working out, have an open conversation with your Mentee. Then, update the status in the program portal under Mentoring Relationships.
What is expected of Mentors?
- Commit to a mentoring relationship for at least six months.
- Communicate regularly with your Mentee.
- Offer guidance and support based on your experience.
How much time is required?
A minimum of 2 hours per month for six months. Meetings can be virtual or in person.
What are the benefits of being a Mentor?
