Amy has extensive experience as a regulatory lawyer acting for regulators in Australia and the UK. Prior to joining the current Victorian Gambling and Casino Commission(VGCCC) Amy spent several years in the UK working as a regulatory lawyer investigating and prosecuting complex and large scale cases as well as being retained to act for British Sky Broadcasting ( SKY) for 5 years. As Acting General Counsel and Executive Director Legal, Policy and Harm Minimisation, Amy as in - house counsel represented the former VGCCC at the Royal Commission into the Melbourne Casino. Amy was instrumental in assembling a multi-disciplinary team to respond to the 22 notices to produce required by the Royal Commission. Following the Royal Commission, upon the regulatory entity becoming a structurally separate entity solely dedicated to Gambling and Casino reform(VGCCC) Amy transitioned the Legal, Policy and Regulatory Services Division to the new entity responding to a myriad of organisational change and legal challenges. She worked closely with the Acting CEO on boarding 5 new Commissioners to head the VGCCC. Following the recommendations of the Royal Commission, Amy led the legal team in the 5 Disciplinary Actions taken against Crown Casino resulting in fines of $250 million.
