Briony Lewis’ in-house career began over 20 years ago, in logistics and security services, and then retail, publishing and now higher and vocational education at RMIT University. As Executive Director of Governance, Legal and Strategic Operations, Briony’s responsibilities include all legal and governance matters for RMIT, enterprise policy and compliance, contract management, the University privacy and FOI office and central complaints, investigations and integrity. Briony supports her leadership colleagues in navigating complex legal and governance issues in a leading public institution, subject to dynamic change and challenges. RMIT also has campuses in Spain and Vietnam, with activities extending to China, India and across the Asia Pacific. Briony provides oversight and support to the legal team in Vietnam, and is a volunteer non-executive Director at RRR Radio, Melbourne’s leading non-profit community radio station.
