Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC New York City

When it takes effect, the CCPA will have sweeping ramifications for businesses in California and across the globe. The law broadly governs the collection, use and disclosure of information about California residents – consumers, employees, job applicants, students and other categories of individuals – as well as information about households and devices. The impact of the law will range from updating privacy disclosures and consumer choices to modifying business models to comply with the CCPA’s limitations on sale and resale of personal information.

This program will answer questions such as:

• Who is subject to the CCPA and what are the exemptions?

• What does the CCPA require?

• How can GDPR compliance help?

• What is the effect of the expected enforcement climate?

• How should organizations prioritize compliance work?

• What does a typical compliance project look like?

• What CCPA amendments are expected?

Speakers

Elise Houlik, VP, Senior Managing Counsel, Privacy and Data Protection at Mastercard
