The day will start with CLE presentations:
Panel 1*: “Exploding Deal Terms: Cautionary Tales to Avoid War Stories” - Presented by Dennis Ehling, Partner (Corporate Litigation); Linda Kornfeld, Partner (Insurance Recovery) Jason Kim, Partner (CMAS); Jon Loeb, Partner (Corporate Litigation); Jonathan Keen, Partner (CMAS); Cheryl Chang, Partner (Consumer Finance); and Vivian Kim, SVP, General Counsel and Secretary, Hanmi Bank.
Description: This 60-minute CLE will use recent cases to tell the stories of frequently negotiated deal terms that can end up in litigation. Following will be 15 minutes for Q&A. The attorneys will present in pairs, one transactional attorney + one litigator, each taking an “exploding deal term” and relaying the story of the case.

Panel 2*: “When Business Interests and Personal Interests Collide: Family Law + Labor/Employment Law Considerations” - Presented by Stacy Phillips, Partner (Family Law); Kevin Martin, Partner (Family Law); Kristina Royce, Partner (Family Law); Caroline Donelan, Partner (Labor & Employment)
Description: This 60-minute CLE will use recent cases to explore the obligations of in-house counsel when one or more senior executive’s/substantial shareholder’s domestic relations matters impact the Company’s interests, leading a GC to frequently ask “Who is the Client?
Drinks and dinner will follow. The evening will conclude with a Hollywood Bowl concert featuring Michael McDonald and Chaka Khan!
