Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC NortheastArt For Social Equality is a program designed to serve as a connection point to educate communities on the intersection of art, culture and politics. Through artistic expression and engagement, it aims to empower communities, change the landscape and inspire new realities.
ACC Northeast has teamed up with WEHERO to bring a unique virtual event to our interested members. As a participant, you will receive your own personal art supply kit delivered directly to your doorstep. The event will start out with a keynote by a prominent Professor of Black Studies who will discuss social justice movements and how to create the greatest impact possible. We will then shift gears and watch an art instructor teach us how to create art that provides a message and has a meaning. Once completed, you can chose to keep your artwork or donate it to Art For Social Equality/Black Lives Matter to support their mission.
