• clauses dealing with consequential loss; and
• the enforcement of dispute resolution clauses.

Tim O'Leary - Partner, Disputes + Investigations - Gilbert + Tobin
Tim acts for clients in relation to contractual disputes, insolvency disputes, regulatory investigations and Corporations Act matters, including schemes of arrangement. Tim appears regularly in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the Federal Court of Australia, and also practises in the Mining Warden's Court. He provides advice on all aspects of corporate, commercial and resources and energy law.
Tim has been recognised as a leading dispute resolution lawyer by each of Chambers Asia Pacific and Legal 500 Asia Pacific. AFR Australia’s Best Lawyers 2021 recognises Tim for insolvency and reorganization law, mining law and natural resources law. Alastair McDonald - Senior Associate, Energy + Resources - Gilbert + Tobin
Alastair is a senior associate in the Perth office of Gilbert + Tobin, specialising in corporate and resources, principally for mining companies. Alastair’s experience spans all aspects of resources projects, including drafting and advising on sale and purchase agreements, farm-in and joint venture documentation, mining contracts and construction contracts, both as an in-house lawyer and external adviser.
