Join our competition experts Susan Jones and Jeremy Jose for a live webinar that will provide an update on current issues in competition law including:

Speakers
Susan Jones, Special Counsel, Gilbert + Tobin’s Competition + Regulation team
She specialises in competition law with expertise in advising clients in relation to mergers and acquisitions, licensing agreements, patent enforcement and regulatory strategies, manufacturing and distribution arrangements and investigations of cartel conduct and concerted practices. Susan has extensive industry experience in pharmaceuticals and healthcare.
She was previously the head of the global antitrust practice at Swiss healthcare company Novartis. There she led the merger clearance process for Novartis’s acquisition of eye care company Alcon and for Novartis’s series of high-profile transformational deals with GSK and Lilly. Prior to Novartis, Susan was a senior associate at Allen & Overy in Brussels and a senior investigator at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
Jeremy Jose, Lawyer, Gilbert + Tobin’s Competition + Regulation team
Jeremy has over 12 years’ experience in merger review, market regulation and competition law. Since joining Gilbert + Tobin in 2016 Jeremy has advised on significant merger transactions including obtaining ACCC clearance for Anheuser-Busch InBev’s global merger with SABMiller and authorisation in the Australian Competition Tribunal for Tabcorp’s acquisition of Tatts. Jeremy has also advised on a range of competition, regulatory and strategic matters for clients including in relation to ACCC inquiries in the energy sector, ACCC cartel investigations, water and electricity regulation.
Jeremy was formerly a senior member of the ACCC’s merger review team, where he was involved in the assessment of many large and complex transactions including BG / Shell, Foxtel / Austar, AGL / Macquarie Generation and BHPB – Rio Tinto (iron ore JV). During his time at the ACCC, Jeremy also had a leading role in the ACCC’s East Coast Gas Inquiry, which was a wide-ranging inquiry into the gas industry with a focus on wholesale gas supply and pipeline regulation.
