Speakers
Lauren B. Aronson, Partner, Crowell & Moring LLP – Lauren is a partner at Crowell & Moring and a member of the Advertising & Media Group. Lauren represents clients across a variety of industries in advertising and marketing law. She has assisted numerous clients in initiating and defending false advertising challenges before the National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB), and the National Advertising Review Board (NARB), and has provided counsel in Lanham Act false advertising suits. She also represents clients before the Federal Trade Commission and in investigations by state Attorneys General.
Emily Kappers, Counsel, Crowell & Moring LLP – Emily is a counsel at Crowell & Moring and a member of the Technology & Brand Protection Group. Emily focuses her practice on all aspects of brand protection, copyright, and unfair competition law. Emily partners with a diverse range of clients, from large corporations to start-up companies both in the United States and internationally, to develop, maintain, and enforce their intellectual property rights.
Alexander Urbelis, Senior Counsel, Crowell & Moring LLP – Alex is a senior counsel at Crowell & Moring and a member of the Privacy & Cybersecurity Group. Alex has more than 20 years of experience in the information security community. Known for his experience and ability to hunt advanced cyber adversaries, Alex’s background also includes roles such as being the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the NFL, Chief Compliance Officer of Richemont, as well as in-house information security counsel, and a private practice litigator.
