When do you go at red and stop at green? When you are eating a watermelon!

Nothing beats the summer heat like a big slice of juicy watermelon. Thankfully ACC-SoCal’s Well-Being Committee is here to quench that thirst with a Sunday fun day at Tanaka Farms. On August 7, 2022 at 9:30AM, we will be hosting a melon tour at Tanaka Farms in Irvine and providing complimentary admission for ACC members and a plus one.

Take a guided wagon ride around a 30 acre farm to see and learn about how summer fruits and vegetables grow from Canary Melons to Cantaloupe, and Honeydew to the rare Yellow Watermelon! Make a stop in the fields to harvest a seasonal vegetable, then sit under a shaded tent and sample lots of fresh cut summer squash, different types of melon, and take home a melon of your very own.
