After an eventful 12 months, we will take stock of the regulatory framework for data in the KSA and what it means for businesses operating in the Kingdom. We will focus in particular on the impact of the Personal Data Protection Law and deep-dive into topics such as:
- The regime for cross-border data transfers – what to expect and what role is the concept of “adequate jurisdictions” likely to play under the final regime;
- What should I be doing now? – is there anything that you can meaningfully do to prepare? what are others in the market doing?
- Data governance – what is my role and how do I prepare the business for what, to many, will feel like a sea change.
