AGENDA
1:00 - 1:50 p.m. CLE Session 1 - Responsible AI and Why It Matters
Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is moving faster than the law, but regulation is just around the corner and organizations should prepare by building a Responsible AI Framework. This panel will offer practical tips for AI governance, including adapting existing frameworks, tracking forthcoming US and international regulation, bringing various business teams and functions to the table, building a model inventory, and selecting the principles to be the foundation for internal policies and procedures. Attendees will walk away with an understanding of how other organizations have been tackling AI governance and key things to look out for in the AI legal landscape.
Speaker: Camila Tobón | Partner | Shook Hardy and Bacon

2:00 - 2:50 p.m. CLE Session 2 - Be Aware: Your AI Has Implicit Bias, Too
Companies and law firms are looking for ways to commit to meaningful change in the areas of equity, diversity, and inclusivity. For those efforts to be successful, it is critical to better understand the ways in which implicit bias manifests itself in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). As more and more companies integrate AI in their products, services, and processes, the need for fairness and non-discrimination in AI-based decision-making becomes increasingly important. This panel will offer practical strategies on how companies can detect and mitigate ethical risks rooted in implicit bias as they leverage AI to improve productivity and performance.
