ACC New JerseyThe Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) recently released its Annual Report for the calendar year of 2022. In addition to the trend that CFIUS required mitigation measures in nearly one out of every four unique transactions for which a notice was filed, Singapore has emerged as the new lead investor country in notices.
This program will feature an interactive discussion of national security concerns facing companies today. With today’s ever-changing geopolitical climate, governments and regulators have given increased scrutiny to foreign investments that involve emerging and critical technologies, critical infrastructure, and personal data. Understanding the shared regulatory trends, as well as unique considerations of each regime, has become critical for those engaged in international trade, investment, and mergers and acquisitions.
