Overview (Program Summary)
This presentation we will focus on a breadth of intellectual property issues that general counsel deal with on a daily basis. The program will, at a high level, cover patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret issues that general counsel without inside IP counsel might expect to see on a weekly monthly or yearly basis. We will discuss how to handle the IP legal issues that arise, what inside counsel can handle and when to get some outside help.
Speakers
Steven A. Caloiaro – Steven is a Member Partner in Dickinson Wright’s Reno office. He is an intellectual property litigator with an emphasis on patent and trademark law. Steven has substantial experience in all phases of patent litigation, including fact and expert discovery, drafting claim construction summary judgment and appellate briefs. He works with several clients in the emerging online gaming industry, serving as external IP counsel and managing large-scale patent portfolios, and provides strategic counsel on trademark protection, prepares and prosecutes trademark applications, enforces intellectual property rights, and litigates patent infringement matters.
· Caleb L. Green – Caleb is an Intellectual Property Strategist and Technology attorney in Dickinson Wright’s Las Vegas office. His experience revolves around trademark prosecution, intellectual property litigation and enforcement, intellectual property management, corporate due diligence, and data protection compliance. Caleb merges his legal acumen with his unique background in computer science and information technology to help clients understand complex technical and legal issues and advise them on how to best protect their proprietary goods and services through intellectual property and privacy laws.
