Overview (Program Summary)
The word mentorship typically brings to mind a wise leader or senior bestowing knowledge and expertise on the less experienced. But mentorship doesn't have to be so one-sided. While the traditional approach can be effective, it overlooks the potential to tap the value of newer generations, diverse constituents, abstract perspectives, and fledging talent. In this TED-style talk, we call into question the limits of traditional mentorship and provide guidance for developing a reciprocal mentoring relationship.
