Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC San DiegoHealthy lawyers are more effective lawyers. Promoting mental health on an individual and institutional basis can enhance productivity, motivation, retention, as well as reducing absenteeism, turnover, and the risk of legal malpractice. While some stress may be inherent in the legal profession, strategies to manage stress are not only helpful, but also necessary to our competence in the legal field in the long term. In this presentation, we will discuss studies regarding lawyer wellbeing, how stress affects lawyer competence, why lawyers are prone to stress-induced disease, and strategies to improve well-being.
