Allyn Stern: As a former EPA Regional Counsel with 30 years of agency experience, Allyn Stern joined Beveridge & Diamond in 2019, bringing her government expertise to the private sector. Allyn serves clients in a wide variety of sectors, including government, energy infrastructure, technology, transportation, and product manufacturing.
John Cruden: John Cruden provides strategic counsel on high-stakes environmental and natural resources litigation, civil and criminal enforcement, and compliance. For more than two decades, John served as a senior leader on environment and natural resource matters at the United States Department of Justice (DOJ). As the Senate-confirmed, Assistant Attorney General, ENRD, John worked on the most high-profile environment cases,
Amber Ahmed: At the Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG), Amber Ahmed was an Assistant Attorney General in the Environmental Protection Division, where she served as Managing Attorney of the Natural Resources and Environmental Defense Section. Amber litigated Texas’s interests in state and federal district courts and on appeal, where she defended and enforced Texas’s environmental regulatory decisions and challenged unfavorable federal rules and policies.
Stephen Smith: As a former Associate Regional Counsel for EPA Region 4’s Office of Regional Counsel (ORC), Stephen Smith brings more than 12 years of government experience to Beveridge & Diamond. At EPA, Stephen led all legal aspects of complex environmental cleanups, enforcement and compliance actions, and emergency responses throughout the Southeast.
