Dancing in the Hurricane: Strategies and Tools for Thriving in a Stressful Time
We live in a world full of stressors, but stress is a natural part of the human experience and is what propels us to excellence. The key is understanding how to use stress productively and in a healthy fashion to avoid distress. This session helps in-house counsel recognize signs of stress in oneself and in one’s colleagues, family and friends by addressing the connection between stress, burnout, and other factors on the development of mental health issues, work/life balance and instituting preventative measures both individually and in a team environment. The course will include information about resources that can be helpful in such cases.
Throughout the session, we explore options for improving outcomes at work and throughout your life by becoming wellness detectives and advocates. To dance in the hurricane, you need to become wellbeing-aware and be part of the solution rather than the problem.
In addition to her role as CEO & Founder of Lumen Worldwide Endeavors, Lisa Beth is a Compliance, Ethics, Governance and Risk Strategist and a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach.
Program admission is free and open to ACC members and in-house counsel guests.
