Call for Nominations

Deadline: Friday, August 30th, 5pm

The ACC Colorado Chapter is seeking potential leaders to be considered for its Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee is charged with identifying nominees for the ACC Colorado Board of Directors to serve two (2) consecutive three-year volunteer terms offering the opportunity to help shape the ACC Colorado Chapter on behalf of its membership.

Nominations, including self-nominations, are due by Friday, August 30, 2024!

All candidates must be willing to commit as well as have sufficient time and employer support to participate and perform the duties of Board membership, including time to attend Board meetings and Chapter events throughout the year. The principal criteria that the Nominating Committee seeks are a demonstrated commitment and willingness to work on behalf of ACC Colorado, recognition of business and legal professional leadership skills, and the ability to exercise sound, mature, and independent business judgment in the best interests of the ACC Colorado Chapter as a whole. Only members who are actively employed as in-house counsel within the chapter's service region are eligible for board leadership positions. The Nominating Committee seeks to reflect the diversity of the ACC Colorado membership and the in-house counsel community, so additional considerations include:

• The type of organization represented and size of legal department;
• Practice concentration and/or industry experience;
• Any specific non-legal expertise or talents, such as finance, communications, or prior volunteer leader experience; and
• A background and experience which will complement the talents of the other Board members.

All applicants must be a current member of ACC in good standing. Interested candidates should submit their request for consideration to Coloradoevents@accglobal.com, along with a resume and a short summary of why the candidate is best qualified for Board membership, addressing and taking into consideration the criteria noted above and highlighting any volunteer work you have done with ACC Colorado and/or ACC Global.  

Nominations, including self-nominations, much be received no later than Friday, August 30, 2024. Interviews will be held virtually in September and voted upon in October 2024 at the Board of Directors Meeting. The first term will begin January 2025.
