This one-hour CLE seminar will focus on the critical role of clearly documenting agreements and relationships to potentially avoid litigation. Attendees will gain valuable insights into practical approaches for drafting contracts with uncertainty and concurrent litigation avoidance in mind, establishing best corporate protocols, and maintaining detailed records. Implementing these best practices may enable attendees to better mitigate risks to avoid litigation or, at a minimum, create sufficient evidence to avoid trial by quick disposition of claims.

Mark Morris works. In his 39-year career, he has resolved general business disputes of all kinds, including matters in the areas of construction law, real estate, securities, legal malpractice, employment, professional liability, trade secrets and defense of class action matters. Mark has been recognized by his peers for not only his litigation skills, but also for his judgment and background in general corporate and business issues that have been informed by his many years of resolving primarily business disputes. Mark always seeks efficient, amicable and reasonable resolutions to his clients’ problems, including informal and formal negotiation and mediation before and after a case commences. When agreed resolutions satisfactory to his clients fail, Mark's clients benefit from his extensive experience to proceed to the next steps for resolving the matter. In fact, Mark has tried over 70 cases to arbitrators, judges and juries across the U.S.
Ryan Alba is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation practice group. Ryan has represented clients in a variety of matters including contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, general business litigation, general liability defense, and insurance.
