ML Women invites ACC SFBA members to team up with The Access Project (TAP) in offering a clean slate clinic to formerly incarcerated California community college students.
This clinic will help clients clear criminal convictions for minor infractions when there is no evidence of violence or repeated criminal behavior—eliminating barriers to employment, occupational licensing, and to other basic necessities, such as housing.
Our volunteers will be reviewing records of arrests and prosecutions in teams to determine what remedies may be available. Please note that while the clinic is in person for volunteers, the clients will not be present.
No prior experience is required, as training and supervision are provided. Lunch will be served during the training portion and a reception will follow immediately after at the firm.
Please email Andrea J. Fitanides, Pro Bono Counsel, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP to volunteer (andrea.fitanides at morganlewis.com).
