ACC Alberta

As artificial intelligence, and generative AI in particular, becomes an indispensable technology for companies and consumers, legal professionals must be ready to advise their clients or business on the fast changing legal and regulatory environment governing the use of AI and the business and litigation risks of deploying and adopting this technology.

Through a panel discussion featuring the perspectives of Practical Law subject matter experts and a senior in-house lawyer, this webinar will cover some of the developing legal framework on AI use in Canada and the legal issues to navigate in this fast-moving area.

Topics will include:

  • Current position in Canada on AI regulation and how the regulatory framework is evolving.
  • Data protection and employment law issues to consider when deploying and adopting AI, including generative AI.
  • Managing liability and risk when using AI systems.
  • Current market practice and what is on the horizon in 2025.
