ACC Austin Volunteer opportunity with American Gateways in Austin

Sign up to volunteer at our citizenship clinic in Austin on April 12, 2025! ACC Austin is partnering with American Gateways to assist long-time permanent residents apply for their US citizenship. The clinic will run from 9 am – 3 pm and we will assist the first 75 individuals with their applications at the Asian American Resource Center, 8401 Cameron Rd, Austin, TX 78754.

There are specific time slots and volunteer positions available. Some of the shifts are several hours long, but you all will have the opportunity to take breaks and get breakfast, coffee, and lunch. There will be a required training via zoom on Friday April 4, 2025 from 11 am – 12:30 pm. The training will explain clinic logistics and will also have an overview of the citizenship process. If you are unable to attend the training, there will be a recording provided. Please note, the training must be completed to participate in the clinic as a volunteer.
 
No prior experience in immigration law is needed. The training will give you the background you need to help, and we will also have mentors and staff on hand to answer questions the day of the clinic as well.
