ACC Charlotte

Fox Rothschild partner Liz Levinson will discuss the basics of tariffs, legal challenges to tariffs during President Trump’s first term, current executive orders, and potential legal challenges going forward. She will also discuss President Trump’s use of federal statutes (such as Section 201, Section 232 and Section 301) to impose widespread tariffs, even though the Constitution vests authority for tariff with Congress. The presentation will cover the litigation that is likely to ensue as well as ongoing litigation.
