Karen has over 20 years of experience working as a senior lawyer and in-house counsel within the mining, energy, and infrastructure sector. She is commercially focused and specialises in managing legal risk, translating detailed regulatory and contractual requirements into business-friendly processes and systems.
In addition to Karen’s legal career, she loves a good challenge – whether it is to improve the younger professionals’ self-esteem, advocating for the rights of people with disability, or being a model mum who juggles having a professional career whilst caring for the family. Karen finds teaching her son who has autism to complete school projects rewarding.
Karen is the immediate past President of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Australia and still serves as a committee member for the ACC’s Queensland Chapter.
