Natalie is an experienced lawyer with over 15 years’ experience providing legal, policy, governance and strategic advice to organisations and boards.
She has held diverse roles with public and private companies, Commonwealth and State governments and not for profit organisations within Australia; and advised across a broad range of legal areas from corporate and commercial law to administrative and communications law.
She has been involved in providing management and strategic advice such as change management, legal practice initiatives, development and launch of new products and services, advocacy and government relations, and project managing significant projects. She is an advocate for diversity and continuous learning, and mentors’ students and young lawyers from diverse backgrounds.
Natalie has 3 school-age children and shows her commitment to volunteering through involvement with local school, sporting, and advocacy groups.
She is passionate about the future of law and the opportunities that technology and innovation in the profession can provide to deliver greater access to legal services for all, as well as creating more sustainable working practices for lawyers.
Natalie Truong is Penten’s first and sole legal officer. She established Penten’s legal frameworks and processes during a period of significant growth including a minority shareholder sale of 40%. Natalie implemented significant strategic reduction in cost and time initiatives such as 80% reduction in time taken to get agreements executed.
