In 2024, 76 percent of participants in the ACC Chief Legal Officers Survey said that they "almost always" attend their company's board of directors meetings – a six-point decrease compared to the previous year.
Even though this year's result show a moderate decline, the trendline for the period 2018-2024 is generally positive. Chief legal officers in US-based companies consistently attend board meetings in higher numbers than their counterparts in other countries.
