On 23 February 2021, the Chair of the Committee for Economic Development Australia, Rod Sims announced the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) Compliance and Enforcement Priorities for 2021.
The new priorities of the ACCC are large consistent with their 2020 updates (issues on 31 August 2020), but also take COVID-19 into account. Moreover, the ACCC continues focusing its attention on the various competition and consumer protection matters that it has taken to court, in addition to the potential avenues for law reforms pertaining to mergers and unfair practises.
