This article summarizes the 2013 reform of the German Competition Law and assesses the potential impact on competition practice in Germany. The reform aimed to further harmonize the German and European merger control regimes. Besides, the rules governing the abuse of a dominant position were reorganized and those governing the prosecution of cartels strengthened.
