Mental Health Week is coming up in October!
It is a national week celebrated each year around World Mental Health Day on 10 October. It provides an important opportunity to promote strategies to keep people mentally healthy!
Our In-House In Health and Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Special Interest Groups will be bringing our members great content and tips over the coming months to ensure you have some tools to keep yourselves and your teams healthy, both physically and mentally – more to come on that soon.
Each region puts on a Walk for Mental Health event which this year will be held on Sunday the 16th of October between 10:30am-12:30pm. Participants can choose to walk either 3km, 5km or 10km with ticket prices starting from $20. Funds raised help the Mental Health Foundation of Australia develop programs to strengthen youth mental health and wellbeing and suicide prevention.
At the moment we are gauging member interest in attending this event (details of the location for each region is in the table below). If there’s enough interest, our SIG’s will look at organising some ACC teams to register together and use the walk as an opportunity to each share our own strategies to help keep people mentally healthy!
If you’re interested in attending, please click here to fill in your details by 14 September.
