The advertising technology (adtech) ecosystem, comprised of thousands of third-party vendors, is both a facilitator for digital advertising and a target of regulatory scrutiny and enforcement. Emerging US state consumer privacy laws also impose differing compliance obligations, while major technology platforms are forcing organizations to re-think how they use adtech to drive critical digital advertising revenue.
This convergence of regulatory scrutiny and new privacy laws is creating challenges for organizations in growing digital advertising revenue. As a result, the traditional third-party adtech ecosystem is at risk as EU and US regulators ramp-up enforcement of these laws.
Join Todd Ruback, Esq., Managing Director at FTI Consulting and leader of FTI's AdTech Center of Excellence practice, for insight on how to navigate this perfect storm with a technical overview of pixel and ad tracker litigation and compliance issues.
During this session, attendees will learn about:
• The pressures on adtech implementations that impact advertising revenue
• Common types of cookies
• Main parties in adtech ecosystem
• Risk mitigation
