ACC-SoCal will be partnering with Elder Law and Disability Rights Center at CHOC to assist parents of individuals with developmental disabilities to obtain limited conservatorship so they can retain some of the decision making rights even if their child is over 18 years old.
ACC members will be provided with a training video that they can view on their own time prior to the clinic. They will be assigned a family and will review the packet submitted by the family. At CHOC, members will assist the family in completing the limited conservatorship forms for e-filing. If ACC members want to stay with the family through the entire court process, they can sign onto the case as pro bono.
Lunch will be provided. Please bring a laptop or iPad to the clinic and wear your ACC-SoCal shirt. If you don’t yet have an ACC-SoCal shirt, they will be provided to members at the event.

For over 80-years, Animal Friends has been saving, impacting, engaging, enriching and affecting the lives of the pets and people of our region. For this day of service, participants will receive a tour of Animal Friends’ facility, help Animal Friends with one or more service projects around the facility (ranging from sorting donations to event preparation, and everything in between), and end the day interacting with some of the resident animals at the facility. After the event, participants are invited to enjoy food and drinks with the group at a nearby restaurant, hosted by Saul Ewing.
