Part of the broader Risk & Legal business unit, the Legal team comprises 21 lawyers and 1 non-lawyer (executive assistant) across three sub-teams: Legal Advisory, Investments Legal and Legal Negotiations. Led by Thalia Dardamanis (General Counsel), the Legal team prides itself on being able to provide virtually all of UniSuper's legal needs inhouse. Made up of lawyers from many different legal backgrounds (eg. law firms, entirely inhouse, ex-regulators, people who had different careers before the law), Legal provides genuinely insightful and helpful legal support to the entire organisation.
