IMPORTANT: IMPLEMENT CODE OF CONDUCT FOR CHAPTER EVENTS
All ACC Chapters are required to establish a Code of Conduct for Events. This code helps to set a tone of professionalism and respect at your events and creates a welcoming environment for all those in attendance at our events. Your chapter's Code of Conduct for Events should set forth clear expectations for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and staff and be accompanied by well-defined procedures for reporting and addressing situations where these expectations are not met.
Toolkit developed by ACC HQ: Chapter boards should review these documents, make changes as needed, adopt the policy and procedures, upload the language to their chapter website and include a link to the language in their registrations. Please connect with chapters@acc.com if you have questions.
- Sample Code of Conduct - should be displayed on the chapter website, and linked on each event registration as disclaimer.
- Sample Procedure/Process Document - including process flow chart for board/committee
- Sample Complaint Form - should be linked to the chapter website
- Sample Charging Letter - used to notify the Charged Party of an alleged violation.
- Sample Determination Letter - used to inform Charged Party of an adverse finding.

Implementation: When registering for future ACC chapter events, registrants will be required to acknowledge that they have read the Code of Conduct for Events and have familiarized themselves with the consequences of unacceptable behavior.
