IMPORTANT: IMPLEMENT CODE OF CONDUCT FOR CHAPTER EVENTS

All ACC Chapters are required to establish a Code of Conduct for Events. This code helps to set a tone of professionalism and respect at your events and creates a welcoming environment for all those in attendance at our events. Your chapter's Code of Conduct for Events should set forth clear expectations for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and staff and be accompanied by well-defined procedures for reporting and addressing situations where these expectations are not met.

Toolkit developed by ACC HQ: Chapter boards should review these documents, make changes as needed, adopt the policy and procedures, upload the language to their chapter website and include a link to the language in their registrations. Please connect with chapters@acc.com if you have questions.

Implementation: When registering for future ACC chapter events, registrants will be required to acknowledge that they have read the Code of Conduct for Events and have familiarized themselves with the consequences of unacceptable behavior.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

There are many components to Program Development - from logistics to marketing to budget and everything in between. To produce a successful event, it takes a thorough effort to shape and guide what an event is, who it serves, and why it does it - with a focus on furthering the chapter's strategic plan. Below, please find resources to help keep your events on track, on budgets and leave your members wanting more.
