The Leadership Development Institute (LDI) provides network leaders with the training and networking opportunities they need to effectively lead their constituents.  

We are committed to making sure your experience as an ACC leader is personally and professionally rewarding. No matter how simple or complex the question, ACC and the LDI are ready with the information and resources you need to successfully lead your ACC chapter, board or network.

The LDI Mission:

  • LDI helps volunteer leaders develop the skills to:
  • Organize and manage a board of directors and standing network in a dynamic, effective manner;
  • Increase the in-house bar's awareness of and need for ACC;
  • Recruit, retain and increase member participation in ACC;
  • Obtain sponsorships to fund programs and events; and
  • Develop programs and events that interest the in-house bar

  • Succession Planning and Board Engagement: This discussion will cover strategies for motivating new leaders and network members to be more engaged and give more of their time. It will also address continued engagement from network leaders. This program will also focus on identifying and developing future pipeline talent, creating upward mobility, and defining responsibilities.
     
  • Sponsorship Best Practices and Creating ROI: This session will discuss proven strategies for maximizing sponsor value and driving results. Through open dialogue and shared experiences, attendees will gain valuable insights into effective sponsor engagement tactics, and best practices for building lasting partnerships. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with your peers and discover how to elevate your sponsors' investment. 
     
  • Program Planning and Membership Engagement: Provide guidance on designing and generating interest in Legal Updates and virtual networking events, and how to ensure leaders promote upcoming events. Exchange best practices on generating topics for Legal Updates and webcasts. 
     
  • Social Media and Digital Networking: In today's digital age, effective social media use and digital communication skills are critical to optimize visibility, networking, and reaching your online audience. Led by David Lat, this roundtable session will provide an opportunity for network leaders to discuss tools and techniques for improving their communication skills on social media. Attendees will have the chance to share their experiences and learn from the moderator and one another.
