Emerging cyber laws and regulations coupled with increasing cyber threats requires leadership to proactively manage and address risks facing their organizations. Often times the responsibility to develop a compliance and cyber program is entrusted to in-house counsel. With sophisticated threats targeting supply chain coupled with a prescriptive regulatory landscape, failure to understand the consequences of cyber risk places an organization, its employees, customers, and stakeholders at risk. Hear actionable guidance from inside and outside counsel about how to build a cyber program that inspires trust through emotional intelligence and leveraging relationships within the enterprise.

We’d love for you to join us at Shutters on the Beach for an engaging discussion on navigating return to office.

We have a diverse group of accomplished women to help us make sense of this challenging issue, which includes Camilla Eng, General Counsel of LaserAway, Nicole Hancock Husband, Vice President, People & Culture for Warner Bros. Television Group, and Lita Abella, Senior Program Analyst for the State Bar of California. In a discussion moderated by Mintz Member Erin Natter, each panelist will discuss the challenges of return to office unique to their workplace and industry and the strategies that have worked well for them and their colleagues.

While most of the world has returned to some version of pre-pandemic normalcy with respect to everyday life, the typical workplace has not. The great remote-work experiment that nobody asked for has made a significant proportion of workers reluctant to return to the office, making it challenging for many companies to figure out what will work best for their operations. Themes for this event include return to office policies, what is and is not working, how to address employees’ mental health, and how to create connection amongst employees, whether they are working in-office or from home. Attendees will walk away with valuable insights and suggestions on handling their own return to office process.

Enjoy what’s sure to be a very interactive panel discussion and mingle with our guest speakers and other professionals over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

We look forward to seeing you at this exciting event!

Starting January 1, 2023, the California Privacy Rights Act and the CPRA amendments to the CCPA regulations will usher in a host of operational impacts for businesses located inside and outside of California. Moreover, throughout 2023, state consumer privacy laws will be coming online in Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia and potentially elsewhere.

Please join us for this 1-hour, CLE-eligible webinar that will provide a practical overview of the major changes these laws will require legal and compliance teams to prepare for in order to stay on the right side of new consumer and employee privacy rights. We will have a particular emphasis on changes that may be needed for websites and mobile applications. Topics will include:

-Implementation of consumer opt-out mechanisms for “selling,” “sharing,” and limiting the use of “sensitive personal information”
-Honoring browser-based global privacy controls and related technical standards
-Updates needed as a result of employee and B2B personal information moving within the scope of the CPRA
-Opt-in requirements and considerations around “children’s” personal information
-Real-world approaches to timely honoring consumers’ privacy rights requests, from portability to access to deletion

Speakers:
Gretchen A. Ramos, Greenberg Traurig, LLP
Darren Abernethy, Greenberg Traurig, LLP

Please note that participants must log in through the Zoom app in order to be verified to receive CLE credit.
