Celebrate autumn by creating a seasonal arrangement to decorate your home or porch. Learn how to use succulents, sedums, and other natural materials to dress up pumpkins or gourds for an added touch of craft to your holiday décor.

This relaxed social event will be held at Barran Liebman’s downtown Portland office and will be led by staff from Dennis’ 7 Dees Garden Centers. All materials will be provided free of charge. Beverages and appetizers will be available during the workshop. 

Priority for registration will be given to ACC Oregon members through September 26. If space is still available, we will open up registration to all in-house attorneys in Oregon and SW Washington on September 27.

Generative AI has capabilities to help lawyers work more efficiently.. As with any technology, lawyers must employ generative AI in a way that adheres to their professional responsibility obligations. Moreover, generative AI is drawing the interest of lawmakers and regulators around the world and in the U.S. lawyers need to be able to comprehend and utilize generative AI in their own practices as well as advise their clients on generative AI. This presentation will analyze generative AI from the perspective of lawyer ethics including examining the ethical considerations of using or advising on generative AI, and recommending best practices for lawyers regarding their duties of confidentiality, disclosure, supervision, client communication, and competence. 

The presentation will cover:

  • The characteristics of  generative artificial intelligence and how it is being used in the legal profession
  • Rules and Guidance from Courts and Bar Associations
  • Rules of Professional Conduct
  • Practical Tips and Best Practices
