Texas Public Information Act 101: Protecting Your Company’s Confidential EHS Information from Disclosure

Companies are often required to submit confidential corporate information to comply with environmental, health, and safety programs administered by the State, obtain permits, and defend enforcement actions.  That information is frequently sought by third parties, including other companies, environmental groups, and the media.  Our speakers will provide an overview of the Texas Public Information Act (“PIA”). We will include practical tips for maximizing protection when submitting information to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality or other State entities and defending against a third-party PIA request.
