Your "community" will vary depending on the nature of the entity you support and the extent of impact your product or services have. You mayl need to consider the overlapping impact on several communities:

  1. The communit(ies) where you employ people, consider:

    a. support of schools and local clubs

    b. whether your organisation should have a Reconcilliation Action Plan to guide engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders

    c. support of disadvantaged people - homelessness, hunger, domestic abuse, drug and alcohol issues etc.

    d. local environmental impact - what impact does your organisation have on the local environment

  2. The community where you sell your product or provide services - you may need to ask whether your products and services are accessible to people who:

    a. Do not have access to the internet (homeless, elderly, remote)

    b. Are your products and services available to consumers with disabilities?

    c. Is your website accessible?

  3. Your global supply chain as a community - what have you learned in the process of preparing your Modern Slavery Statement?
