ACC Leadership Development Institute - May 2024

On May 17, Chapter Board  Members Crystal Jones and Celeste Rasmussen Peiffer (Vice-President) represented the Louisiana Chapter at the Association of Corporate Counsel Spring Leadership Development Institute in Washington D.C.

The meeting was a wonderful opportunity to meet leadership from ACC Chapters worldwide, brainstorm about ACC member and sponsor engagement and hone networking and communication skills. Sessions were centered on how the "Power of Three" can propel attendees' ACC leadership journey, providing a strategic framework to navigate at every stage: attraction, integration, and retention.

2019 Focus & Festival -- Jazz Fest Thursday

Hosted by the New Orleans & Lafayette offices of Ogletree Deakins, an ACC Louisiana Premiere Sponsor

Our Focus & Festival day started with a one hour CLE brunch and was followed by a day at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. We had a rainy start, but by the closing act, the sun was out. A great time was had by all.

ACC LOUISIANA Volunteers!

ACC Louisiana participated in ACC's Global Community Service Month last September. We partnered with the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program (BTNEP) and met at their farm to pot trees and divide marsh grasses. These plants are ultimately used in their coastal restoration program. This year, we worked with BTNEP to actually plant the marsh grasses in Fourchon, Louisiana. BTNEP is one of 28 National Estuary Programs throughout the US, and it works to protect and preserve the culture and the land located between the Mississippi and Atchafalaya Rivers in Southeast Louisiana. The marsh grass planting is an effort to restore land masses that were lost to coastal erosion. The area we planted was, at one point, completely submerged. Through BTNEP's efforts, the land is being reclaimed. Volunteer efforts are a family affair, and our chapter intends to continue our volunteer efforts with BTNEP.
