Our company was founded in 1965. We are a granite mining and fabrication business. We own and operate 19 granite mines in the USA. As of today, the company owns properties all over the country, clustered on the east coast. Our companies’ top priorities include property management, granite mine operation, and granite promotion.Your duties would include but not be limited to the following: creating and maintaining a portfolio of all properties; visiting all properties; conducting surveys; engaging in the timber program; ensuring all mining permits are and continue to remain valid; engaging with local, county, state, and federal government on issues such as storm-water-discharge, zoning, earth-removal permits, equitable property tax assessment; manage leases from a lessor and a lessee standpoint.Your office would be in Smithfield, RI for the immediate future, as our headquarters may change locations within the next 12-16 months. We ask that if you accept this position you honor a 12-18 month commitment. This is a boots-on-the-ground job! Lots of travel, walking, and exploring! Most of our properties are well over 100 acres, some over 500. Most of the properties are raw land. This position would benefit from an attorney with experience in one or more of the following: environmental law; compliance; construction law; property/real estate law; insurance. Bar license in RI not required.
