The prevalence of anxiety, depression, and substance abuse within the legal profession is well known. South Carolina attorney Will Jordan personalizes the statistics by sharing his experience with anxiety and depression. Using a storytelling format, Will describes how he came to recognize his mental health struggles, how he tried (unsuccessfully) to cure them, and how, over the years, he has learned to cope with them. Will seeks to decrease the stigma around mental health issues in the legal profession and to provide encouragement and resources for lawyers suffering from anxiety, depression, or substance abuse.

In the companion cases Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President and Fellows of Harvard College and Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. Although the decision primarily deals with higher education, it also has potential implications for employers across all industries. Join us for a discussion on what those implications are, what we see for the future of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and our recommendations for what employers should do to stay on top of this constantly shifting landscape.
