In-house counsel may be hesitant to notify their insurance companies when things go awry. But deciding not to give notice can compromise your coverage, complicate your defenses, and create obstacles to settlement. In this session we will discuss how, when, and why to engage with and collaborate with your insurance company partners so that you can effectively defend a claim and negotiate a resolution while maintaining relationships with your insurance partners where possible, and place your company in the strongest position possible should a dispute with your insurance company arise. The discussion will span the most current issues in insurance coverage, including how the insurance industry is using AI against its policyholders and what policyholders should do to get coverage for AI losses.
